It’s officially my favorite time of the year: fall in Aspen. Check out some photos I took while hiking the Hunter Creek loop yesterday. This is the most beautiful time of the year and, perhaps unsurprisingly, it’s the busiest time of year for event planners in Aspen.
Most brides used to want to get married in spring or summer. Now brides are all about those fall weddings. And how can you blame them? The gorgeous colors make for an unbeatable backdrop to any event. Plus, the weather in Aspen is cool but not freezing-cold yet…it’s a win-win all around!
Vendors and party planners are SLAMMED this time of year. Every weekend from now through the end of October is completely packed.
So what are a few of my favorite fall event venues in Aspen? For fall, I like looking for a venue that offers outdoor space and, if the weather doesn’t cooperate, an indoor space as well. Next weekend we’re doing an event at Duemani, which is perfect for this. If the weather is nice, we’ll be on their outdoor patio with some heaters. If it’s a bit too cold for that, we can easily move inside and set up a great event there instead.
I love doing welcome parties at Kemo Sabe’s upstairs bar area. It’s a very “Aspen” experience and a great way to kick off a weekend of festivities. I also love Caribou Club, which feels so quintessentially Aspen with its Ralph Lauren-esque decor and just gives me those cozy fall vibes. Lastly, of course, The Little Nell’s event space at the top of Ajax Mountain is the #1 location. Talk about views, especially in the fall! It comes with a hefty price tag but if you can swing it, it’s the perfect backdrop for an event you’ll remember forever.
