Our Favorite Aspen Restaurants for Events and Parties

Aspen, Colorado, is known for many things: skiing, beautiful scenery, hiking, biking, fly fishing, great shopping, and—of course—amazing restaurants. Naturally, I'm going to be a bit biased because my husband and I own two of them: Acquolina and Duemani. But aside from these two, there are plenty of fantastic spots to have a welcome dinner, engagement party, rehearsal dinner, wine tasting, birthday party, or more. Check out our list of favorite places to host your next event!

1. So I AM going to start with Acquolina and Duemani. Duemani has a private dining room that is wonderful for smaller gatherings. Of course, both places can be rented out entirely for your party as well. You can get creative and move out all the furniture, bring in your own rentals, and decorate them to your liking. At Acquolina, you can do a partial or full buyout. For a partial, you would just purchase a few tables in half of the restaurant, and you'd be able to decorate those and customize a menu. But the other half of the restaurant would still be open to the public.

2. Caribou Club opened in the '90s, but it feels like it's been here in Aspen for more than 100 years. Its Ralph Lauren <> Mountain Chic aesthetic really sets the tone for a wonderful weekend for your guests, enveloping them in the culture of old-world Aspen. They have a few options for renting out their space, including a smaller dining room, a larger dining room, and a full buyout. The good news is, even though it's members-only, anyone can have their event there simply by paying a small one-time fee.

3. Matsuhisa. This place is legendary in Aspen, and there are two great options for a buyout. You can rent the entire upstairs OR the entire downstairs. Upstairs will be less expensive than downstairs, but in both cases you'll have access to their incredible cuisine. With over 30 years of history in Aspen, and consistently being named a top spot, you really can't go wrong!

4. Hooch. Hooch is a very cool speakeasy located under Meat and Cheese, and it's ideal for an after-party. You can rent a few tables or do a full buyout. I like to say that Hooch is an Aspen locals spot—an "if you know, you know" type of place. With an event at Hooch, your guests will be very impressed with your inside knowledge of what truly appeals to the Aspen regulars.
