Client Spotlight: A Gorgeous Black-and-Gold Soiree

Today we're throwing it back to one of our FAVORITE events! A stunning black-and-gold New Year's Eve celebration in a beautiful private home in Aspen, Colorado.

Putting on events in someone's home has its own unique challenges, including removing furniture, finding a place for scullery and bussing, connecting to the client's home audio and electricity networks/servers, storing rentals before and after the event, and more.

However, when done properly, it's one of the best kinds of events there is! Nothing is more special than welcoming people into your own home to celebrate.

This particular event was divided into a few categories: cocktail hour for adults, seated dinner for adults, buffet dinner for children, entertainment for children, entertainment for adults, and then a joint karaoke/dance party after the ball drop. If that sounds like a lot of moving parts, we can assure you—it was!

We transformed the client's sitting room into a 60-person dining room for a plated three-course dinner. Cocktails were served in their kitchen/TV room.

For the kids' party, we transformed their garage (yes, their garage!) into a beautiful golden dining room, complete with its own audio system and a magician! We draped all the garage walls in beautiful gold fabric with twinkle lights, hung a giant disco ball from the ceiling, and printed a kid-friendly, whimsical menu.

Then, downstairs in their basement, was the dance party, karaoke party, a customized NYE photo booth room, and a second full bar. There were two TVs as well where guests watched the ball drop.
