2024 is coming at us fast! Here are a few of our favorite ways to ring in the new year in Aspen:
The Dom Pérignon Party at The Little Nell. I've attended this party for several years and it does not disappoint! It has great drinks, a caviar bar, views of the fireworks on Aspen Mountain, and everyone is dressed up in evening attire—ranging from black tie to sparkly sequins. It doesn't get more luxurious and classic Aspen than this! Because the party starts at 10:00 p.m., I recommend getting dinner in town somewhere beforehand. Most restaurants offer a few seatings with prix fixe menus for the holiday. Check out Monarch Steakhouse or Steakhouse 316; in the past, their menus came with lots of decadent add-ons like truffles and caviar.
Acquolina or Duemani. I know I'm biased as these restaurants are owned by my husband's Aspen Hospitality Group. But trust me: The vibes there are fantastic for NYE. Acquolina tends to have more of a family feel—think bright colors, lights, balloons, pizza, and pasta. Duemani is more upscale with fine dining, dressier guests, and more black/silver aesthetics. Both places have a DJ and a great bar.
Private events. All around town people are hosting private NYE events. If you are lucky enough to be invited, say YES! Past private events have taken place at Matsuhisa (renting out the entire restaurant), the St. Regis, and in homes across the valley. If you're going to a private event, or any event really, consider hiring a driver. Prices will be at a premium this time of year (and in Aspen's already overpriced world this will cause jaws to drop) but it's worth it to be safe... and to not be stuck at someone's home or venue without a ride late into the night.
For the ladies visiting Aspen: Be sure to book your hair/makeup appointments well ahead of NYE. Salons we love include Full Circle, Salon Tullio, and Suite Reyad. Many offer makeup services, and we also love working with Vanessa Vieni makeup—if you're lucky enough to get an appointment! As for outfit shopping, if you're looking for something glamorous to wear last minute in Aspen, try Pitkin County Dry Goods, Ralph Lauren, Marcus, Prada (love all the glittery options they've been having recently!), Valentino, Gorsuch... there are honestly so many great options! You'll be sure to find something amazing, even day of.
